is this a good deal on 2005 maxima?

hi guys
first of all, i joined the forum today, and this is my first posting
sorry if i should have posted this somewhere else.

i'm thinking of buying 2005 maxima se with dpp(drivers prefered package), and power sunroof.
(smoke ext, black interior)

this dealer in boston told me msrp on that car is 32500$,

and he can give me the car at 31500$(including tax, registration fee and such, which is about 1800$)
so he is selling the car at 29700$

i asked 31000$ and couldn't make a deal,
what you guys think?

i think 31000$(29200$ without tax and such) is possible price..

thanks in advance...

Well considering that's what I paid for my 04, same specs 3 months ago... I would of already bought it for that price. Is this brand new, no miles, just arrived? IMO it sounds too good.

Cars Direct shows that package on an '04 selling for around $28k before fees with that equipment. The invoice would be $29,200. I don't think prices have changed that much for '05. I think you were right on the money at $29200.

I have the same trim and package for my 2004. Paid 32K with an extended warranty, so I'm figuring a 2005 for just about 30K should be about right considering the 2005 just came out. Welcome to the club!

I got my 2004 max about a month ago, Got the basic SL edition. I paid exactly 29500. Thats after taxes, title, and finance charges. Even after this seemingly great deal, I still think i coulda gotten a better deal...shop around other dealerships, i'm sure you can get a better deal.

...o wait up...didn't see that u had the DPP and sunroof...ok, i guess if you pay like $31-32K after taxes and everything, then that would be about right.
