Air Filter Replacement

I'm looking for general feedback on whether or not you would recommend switching the OEM Air Filter with an aftermarket one, such as the K&N Hi-Flow Air Filter?

I think that most of us on here have replaced the stock intake with a Berk, or similar, intake vs keeping it stock. I imagine that just about anything will be better than the OEM filter though. K&N makes good stuff. I have used their filters in the past and have been happy with them. I would say go for it. But I myself have never replaced the OEM filter; I replaced it with a Berk intake. take a look at courtesey nissan for filters. I also remember reading a thread about using a toyota filter vs an OEM version. I hope that helps!

Make sure you check your air filter regularly. Mine had a big handfull of bugs, moths, butterflys, etc. in it after about 3 months (May-July). The intake scoops them up and fires them to the back of the air box.

At the end of the winter the air box had quite a bit of sand and small bits of gravel in it too. From following sand trucks on the highway during the winter months.
