The dealers I visit in the Atlanta area put wheel locks on every vehicle, even before they remove the foam shipping material. Sure, these locks can be defeated. But special tools which make noise are needed to overcome the locks. I feel they prevent all but the 'pros' from taking my wheels.

Each set is original. that's why you need to keep the info to reorder a replacement key if lost. Even if they cheap out and make some the same, there are enough different sets made and companies that make them.

After losing a wheel lock key and having to get a tire shop to remove the rim without a key....took them 30 seconds to drill the lock off. I imagine that if someone wants your stuff....regardless of if you have a Ford Pinto or a Porsche....they will get it. Wheel lock keys are a deterrance....that is about it. The car in the pic on blocks, I am sure came stock with no locking lugs. Hey, I feel for them, I have 20" rims on my car.....but if someone wants something, they will get it.....just like stereo stuff, some people will just smash and grab for quick money. Had a car broken into, they knew it had a sub box, smashed the rear window to get to it.....knowing the alarm would go off. But often....no one pays attention to car alarms, you know what I mean.
