I don't know if you can remove OEM spoiler w/o damaging either trunk or spoiler, since it is most likely taped/glued on. I thought about that when I debagged my trunk. I left just the emblem on there.

I took my lip spoiler off and had the holes filled by body shop before the WRX spoiler was installed.

You need to drill 4 holes and use 3m tape which should come with the spoiler.

I actually did not like it. To me it just looked too insignificant to justify it being on there. I would prefer not a monster size but an acceptable normal sized one that mounts to the trunk lid instead but I do think the 6th gen looks better without one. Just my 2 cents.

Spoilers

I was looking to get a spoiler for my car but I haven't been able to find anything i like. Has anyone seen a spoiler for our cars that is like the g35 coupe or the black widow one?

Yes, mine is from a WRX and it looks very much like a G35 coupe spoiler, but a bit larger.

Pictures dont do it justice. Its the best looking spoiler in my opinion.

Best price for OEM Lip Spoiler?

Where can I get the best price for a PAINTED factory-style OEM Spoiler?
I prefer non-eBay sources.

Thanks.

Try this site.

Click on Maxima.
Go either to '04 or '05, its the same one for the '06.

Go down the list for spoilers. They are $168.00 painted

All depends on the type of crap your talking about, Dog Crap causes much more drag than Bird Crap because the bigger mass causes more air resistance. Rabbit crap just tends to roll right off...

A properly designed spoiler can move air flow in right direction to reduce drag, i.e. if it reduces air swirl off leading edges. Besides, they look *****in if they arent ricey.

I like the Aftermarket - The OEM is so small and does not look as agressive as the back of this car deserves - somethings got to make up for the crappy 'tooth' up front.

If it's prepainted do it yourself, if it's not, get it painted than do it yourself with a good automotive double sided emblem tape. 3-M make a really good one...
