Why isn`t it shown on the B&M site under new products?

Why won`t it work on the 04 Maxima? I thought they were identical trannys.

 

It also only advertises 33% shorter throw. I guess that's something, but I would be looking for more like 50+%.

A buddy of mine bought a short throw shifter for his Mazdaspeed Protege. You barely need to move your arm to shift. It's a flick of the wrist. It's beautiful.

 

The G35's already have a short throw shifter (at least the coupe I test drove did)... dropping it by another 33% would be like an 80% reduction in the Max's throw. The STS on the coupe was awesome... I can't imagine a shorter throw than what they already had in there...

G35 is front engine, rear drive with the shifter built into the assend of the transmission. Maxima is front drive with the shifter connected to the transmission via two cables.

 

Ah but of course, I must have been having a seniors moment.
I wish B&M would consider the lowly Max when they develop these
shifters. It seems you can get a SS for almost any ride except the new Max.
