air tight cabin?

When on the highway I hear the sound of rushing air that seems to be coming from around the area of the tweeter on the driver side. Obviously you're going to hear rushing air at high rates of speed, but I don't think that what I hear is normal. Anyone relate?

Might want to check the rubber moldings around the door, something might be loose. I've had my experience with the glue of the rubber just coming off the frame (back passenger, driver side).

2k4maximase your soft voice is kind of refreshing>>>

2k4MaximaSE, he's saying your font is way too small and hurting our eyes, in a nice way.

I've gone 90+ with the stereo off and heard no such air noise. very little, but not rushing in.

Before installing my drip shields, the only noteworthy sound at speed was what I felt was air whooshing by the outside mirrors, which, of course, was more noticable on the left side to the driver.

With the drip shields added, the whoosh is more generally distributed along the side of the car.

In your case, I would look very closely at all the rubber door molding in the area from which you hear the noise. There isn't much else to check in that area.

Drip shields? Is that the same thing as rain guards or vent shades?

04maximaman - Yes. Rain guards or vent shades would have been better terminology. But when you reach my age, you will find the proper terminology does not always come to mind when needed.

Ugh; 'drip shields'? Where the heck did I come up with that?
