Head unit, depends on what you like and what you want. Are you looking at adding a DVD all in one unit like Alpine?

Not sure but I think cobymoby can hook you up with what you need, a dash kit and PAC adapter for your car. Might want to check with him. Check a few posts down. He usually is on the board. I am running a 600 watt Planet Audio amp with a Pioneer 12" single sub...still on the stock radio. Cobymoby should be able to give you a hell of alot better info than me on this subject. Can you buy a dash kit on Ebay, yes, make sure it comes with the plug and play harnass. The PAC adapter....depends on what you want. I imagine pumping that amout of wattage, more than what I need, you want some good stuff. I do swear by my Planet Audio amp though....nice stuff for the price. Stock head unit is actually not that bad....and thankfully, after dealing with BOSE in my wifes Camaro, and if I remember the Mercedes ML320....hate the hell out of that system from hell...so do installers. That stuff is intergrated in the system like a plague.

this link should answer a lot.

I would go with a more pricey Pioneer HU or a Premeir(top line of pionner) HU. Definately go with something that has a 13 band EQ. You will thank me later for it.

As far as an amp and sub. JL makes some solid subs. This area of audio is more personal taste. There are tons of options and people will chime in. Take your time...Buy online and install yourself. There is a ton of info on the org to help you out with the install.

I like this myself...

For a nice head unit. And guess what....the amber matches...if anyone cares. Nakamichi makes some good stuff though.

NO, Shop around for a HU that has aux built in or offers it as an option. The Pioneer HU is IMHO the best bang for your buck. Nakamichi makes some sweet stuff, but it's very expensive for what you get. Most people who have a pioneer will agree that it offers good quality for the price. You should go to the audio forum and post questions there too. You may need to look for a special wiring harness for the bose system though. I don't know if the bose system has a different harness from the non bose stereo.

Go to crutchfield.com and look around there at HU descriptions. There are several HU that have built in Aux RCA's. My HU offered it as an add on for $35. Another good online site is www.thezeb.com. They offer a lot of good stuff at some of the best prices. Always froogle and price stuff too.
