2004 right strut gone

hi guys, im a newbie to the forums. hows it goin. well the problem here is that my father has a 2004 se that was bought in december. drivin for about to months when he would pull off there would be a sound sorta like a plunk. no just recently that plunk has turned into a rattling. he took to to nissan and they said that the right front strut is totally gone. he also said that they couldnt fix the part until the part for the 2005's come in so we will have to wait a while. its a warranty job so itll be free, and also the nissan guy said that they will be recallin the 2004's for that problem and replacing both front struts. i just wanted to let you 2004 max owners about this problem and wanted to know if anyone else has been experiencing this problem. thanks.

Damn Nissan is really slacking with all these recalls.

When are the 05 parts going to come in? and if its far away will they issue you a rental until, instead of having your father drive on a bad strut till then?

nope they gave us the car back and were continuing to drive with the bad strut. i think since nissan started putting together the cars in america they are starting to lack quality because there is a couple minor things wrong with the interior too, other than that and the strut its a great car..

This topic has been covered to death in the Bad Strut Poll . I am actually putting an update on there soon. I was at the dealership today and spoke with a Tech.
