Max Died - Battery Issues...Help??
Max Died - Battery Issues...Help??
I left town for a week about a month ago. When I came back, my car was completely dead, nothing was left on, lights etc...jumped it and it was fine.
Now yesterday, I left my car parked illegally in front of my house. I used the remote start so the car was on but locked, the lights and hazards were on.
(I figured they wouldn't tow a car that was running with its lights on) Well the car automatically turns off after 10 minutes. I let it sit there not running for about another 30 minutes after that, lights on, hazards on, stereo on (no volume) Is that enough to make the battery die? Seems weird to me because I've run full systems in other cars for hours with no problem.
Incidently I had my car serviced the day before I left town the 1st time.
They did "service" the battery, could it have been something they did?
Any info would be great...

that's weird. b/c even if you left interior lights or headlights on, they auto shut off after 5 minutes to save battery. You actually wanted to leave your car idling for up to 30 minutes? Even the 10 min. sounds bad.
either they mis-serviced the battery somehow, or it needs replaced. Do you have an amp? If so, make sure it's wired to only be on with car on. constant power could drain it.
