I've never had a car with struts, so clue me in.

I've had the Max for about a year. Since bringing it home, I've thought something was wrong with the struts. My driveway has a 1" "shoulder" on it, or a bump up from street level. Every time I back out, the front end goes "thump" as I roll down over the shoulder. Same thing coming in the driveway, up over the bump with any speed. Never really bothered me as the noise was minimal and I never noticed anything while driving at speed.

Over the last few months I've notice a lot more noise in the front end over rough road. Kind of a banging sound, like a bad shock would make. Handling over rough road is not smooth like it used to be ,either.

How do you know for sure which struts are bad? Need good ammo for my dealer...Thanks
