Help,is This The Begining Of Tranny Problems

I noticed my 04 automatic seems to feel like it is gearing down, when I am stopping the odd time. You can actually feel it like a standard tranny. I also noticed the tranny has "jerked" weird a couple of times. The car only has 1700km on it and the VIN is over 9000.

I remember a similar problem on my 01AE and the dealership gave me a line about the cars computer learning how I drove as the car is breaking in. It sounded dumb at the time but the problem went away and I had it for 3 1/2 years without any tranny problem.

Any comments and feedback would be grealty appreciated

Sounds normal to me. The auto tranny will downshift as speed decreases similar to what you would do with a stick shift.

Give it a little time to break in. Don't look too hard to find issues, as you will convince yourself you have one.

Enjoy that fine auto!

Mine does it, too. It's got 22,000 miles on it. It's normal.

Topview01, I think what you need to do is determine if it's your car or if all the cars do this. Find another SE and drive it, then go back to your car. If it's indeed your car you know that your sane. Most likey you'll also pursue the issue more with the service guys and won't get pushed around or stuck with a real problem later on down the life of your car. Just don't take it up the a$$. You bought the car and you should be 100% happy bout the purchase! Not wondering if this and if that. Keep us updated por favor!
