Well, after 1 year of fighting with Nissan they have agreed to replace my 2004 SE Shimmy Edition Maxima!! Thank you to everyone who posted information in the last year about this ongoing problem.

You need to get a lawyer to handle your case. They will evaluate it and tell you if it's a go or no go situation. Just because it doesn't meet lemon law criterea doesn't mean you are SOL. You can still file a suit using the Magnuson Moss warranty act and the UCC covers you too. Go to your library and get the book "Return to Sender" by Nancy Barron. I am reading it now and it's awfully helpful regarding a lemon car. A lawyer that specializes in this stuff should not charge you a penny for taking your case. Good luck.

Sorry gentlemen, I don't get online as often as i'd like to. The main thing for me was A. I had a Lemon Law lawyer (800-MY-LEMON), B. I had 10 repair orders for the same exact problem. And C. I am a royal pain in the a**. You need to stay on top of it and don't give up.
