Flappen' License Plate

I've been reading this group for awhile...it's great!

Anyway, I bought a chrome license plate frame but my '04 SE only came with the top screws. So it's not held down at 4 points and whenever I open the trunk or hood the thing flaps and rattles like a piece of sh*t!

where can I get decent screws to use on the bottom? I don't want any rust spots or problems, don't to drill new holes.

Anyone solve this??

Thanks,
Unclemax.

I bought a smoked plate cover through PepBoys. I then bought a screw set that comes with a special allen wrench to lossen and tighten them with. I have no problems with them what so ever.

One thing you may want to check is that the plate is inside the bottom two notches of the frame. If it is inside and the top screws are tight, it should not rattle.

My plate cover is only held on by two screws at the top edge. It used to rattle a bit. I took some of that cheap foam water pipe wrap and cut a small piece off. I used some double sided tape, and stuck it to the back side of the plate. No more rattles. Its been on there for the last 4 months or so. Cost me next to nothing and about 5 minutes of my time.

Like others here, I cannot tolerate rattles. I put little clear soft plastic 'nipples' (meant to put on the back of picture frames to protect the wall) on the back of both bottom corners.
