Sarona body kit install
I just bought a Sarona body kit off ebay for $710 bucks for my black 05 Max. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...hippingPayment
Anyone know how to install that kit?

I would guess that the mounting points for your bumpers match the kit... then it should just be a matter of removing the stock and mounting the kit. Not sure about the side skirts though... probably the front splash guard... not sure about the rear at all.
At $700 I would hope that a) it survives shipping and b) you get it professionally installed, just in case.

I was confused too, but he indicates they are not damaged and its only 2 months old. Always a risk on ebay, but I figure if its damaged it can be fixed. Im glad Im very handy with cars. I was wondering if the turning lights can be used somehow. Any thoughts?

the kit isnt blocking the fogs. so why the need to get aftermarket fogs?
also, why would you need to ask if the turning lights can be used. arent the cut out holes on bumper where the turning lights are?
nice looking kit. this dude was parked in a gas station, (looking at the ebay location its the same guy from my area). I didnt get close up to look for any scratches but from a short distance away, it looked really good.
good luck with it!

Yes, the holes appear to be centered more rather than on the sides for turning. I suppose I could angle them toward the sides if it doesnt look ridiculous. I paid for it today, so I should get it in about 2 weeks. I will probably know more then. I like the Sarona grill too. I plan on buying that as well. Im not really into the
'billet look" although I like that look on the silver Maxs. I like the mesh look of the Sarona grill and Street scene. Gives it more of a sports car look in my opinion.

DeusExMaxima... does the person who sold you the grille, have the body kit in boxes? I remember you saying he's having a problem shipping you the kit. I think hes from Brooklyn as well. If he has them boxed and ready to ship, he can ship it from my work. I have an account with UPS, tell him to bring it in and you'll get to pay actually shipping costs. Tell him you have a friend in Bklyn and to box it up and send it my way.
we're maxima brothers, gotta look out for our kind!

Also, when I removed the front bumper on my max, I saw that its being held on with 2 screws on each side.

PaL379: I guess he is still having problems finding a reasonable shipper because of the size. He is kind of hard to get a hold of, but eventually he does seem to call me back. I wonder if I could put you guys in touch with each other to make arrangements to ship it for a reasonable price so that I can FINALLY have my body kit.

Well, most kits in general install fairly easily. In this case, I can only image that the front and rear a complete factory replacements. If the kit is painted it should be easy as pie. The side skirts on most cars install with double side tape on the sides and then use screws in the factory door sill holes. Outside there should only be screws on the ends inside the wheel wells. This allows for a clean look from the side. I can’t speak for this kit but I’m sure it won’t be hard with an extra pair of hands.

If you have digital cable there is a show on the DIY network called Tricked Out. ( http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_dtrk ). If you can TIVO the show, the did a kit on an Integra a bit back. ( http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/shows_..._33678,00.html ) It seemed easy. They show how to do everything for this install at that link. Shouldn't be to different. Just make sure you clean the thing with some good stuff.

No the car. The kit should have the tape on it. If it's a used kit then yeah both items need to be really cleaned. You may want to consult some local shops and ask what the best tape to use is. I think everyone is going to say something with "3M" in the title.
