06 M35 Exhaust V.S. 04 Maxima Exhaust

They look identical to me but I wonder If there's any difference with the sound ... here's a pic of 06 M35 Exhaust

It will probably sound similiar to an 04 Max( I think the 02-05 Maximas are to quiet exhaust wise), I was told it will not have that throaty exhaust sound of the G35 and 350Z.

Since the exhaust will have more in common with the G35's, I have a feeling that the exhaust will have a more aggressive tone similar again to the G35's

Any chance the M45 engine will end up in the Max?

Here is an idea for you guys who like the 350Z/G35C sound, buy two of the mufflers (one for each side) and mount them the way the OEM Maxima mufflers are. Since the 350Z/G35C mufflers have one pipe at one end (outlet) + two pipes at the other end (one inlet, one outlet for the 'dual exhaust look'), this setup would be possible. It will look like a stock OEM Maxima muffler since you'll have dual tips. Most mufflers will perform with exhaust gases blowing from any direction, so now at one end, you'll have a single inlet, and at the other end, you'll have a dual outlet (twin tips)

Cliff notes, Just mount the 350Z/G35C muffler the same way as your OEM Maxima muffler and it should work.
