The panel around the automatic gear shift

Hey guys, I recently had to have my fuel injector replaced on an 04 maxima se. I love the car to death, this is my first one. When the guys at the shop fixed it, it appears that they did not snap the round piece that fits over the shift. I tried to gently pull it out to re-snap it but the dang thing feels like it is going to snap. Everytime I try to use the tep-tronic (sp?) the thing is in the way. Can anyone help with how to replace this in the correct position?

I also had one other question, the dealer who sold me the car was 18, it was the first car he had ever sold and he had no clue. How do you program your radio so that it displays the CD titles and radio station call letters. I have gone through the system and it does not seem to work. When I make it display them it says something to the effect of No information. Thanks guys.

There's a sticky at the top of the listings that will show you how to take the dash apart. You need to pry under the rear edge of the piece that covers the gear shift area. Do this after opening the cup holders, and use a small plastic wedge or a small screw driver. Pry up on the back edge, and then pop the whole thing up.

The radio only shows the title and song if the radio station is using RDS. For CD's if the title is on there, pressing the **** on the right will take you thru a menu where you can turn the **** to show the title, etc.

Read the manual for this, but it won't show up if it's not there; that's probably why your's is showing 'no information'.
