Snow Max

It's been snowing all night and it's still coming down this morning up here in Ontario. It's a winter wornderland and looks nice, but i hate driving my Max in this crap. At least its not all that cold, so it could be worse.

This is how it looks in my laneway right now:

Oh well - time to crank over the snowblower. I think our Liberty will be getting the most of the action on the streets today !

Bob move to a warmer climate!

I would cry if my Maxima had all that snow on it! I will be driving through Denver probably twice this winter. I got my fingers crossed. Last year I got caught in a bad storm with my last car. Don't want that again!

yes, ignorance is bliss... shovel your car out 5 times or more in one winter and your opinion will change quickly.

"laneway"
When there is ignorance. I've lived in Texas only 1 1/2 years, before that I lived in Maryland(we got hit in 2003) for about 16 years and before that New York. I know about snow.

I just finished, came in the house and took my boots off.....i can now hear the damn snowplow going by and creating a BIG fricking snow bank at the end of my lane.

Oh well the boots go back on !

BTW.. i don't have a snowmobile, but i do have a large and well equipped dedicated Home Theatre in my basement. Which is where i'll be hiding for the next 4 or 5 months !

Great pics Bob! I didn't find it too bad...Of course, my Max was in the garage during this. Have my new Dunlop M3s on, and was tearing around like a Max-ki-doo today...

I got a two car garage so neither my 6th gen or 4th gen will be in the snow this winter. Well maybe the 4th since I need to get places.

Bob, you need to get yourself some snow tires.

Also pickup a Snow Wisp snow brush at Canadian Tire. The bristles are super soft compared to the hard ones on the 99 cent brushes. Your paint will thank you in the spring when its not as scratched up.

The sudden cold was quite a surprise. I can't believe I actually had to use the heated seats and steering wheel.

Well this is where I will exactly be in three weeks!

No snow in the Nevada desert!

I would cry if my Maxima was covered in snow!

I just hope the trip out is good. I have driven through some nasty stuff in the midwest.

ROTFLMPO !

C'mon guys, I know you can be tougher than that.

Last week we went thru a 5 day period with a HIGH of -15C +3F
and a low of -23C -5F.

Made a whole lot more bearable w/heated seats & wheel - love it!
The world does not end NEAR that!

Yes I hear the River is awesome in summer. You never know in 10 years I may be living there full time. Nothing beats Nevada!

I may take a road trip to Orange county if I have the time.

BTW SilverBelle04,

Did you get that driveway clear yet? Hope you Max is clean. I hate cleaning snow off my car

The car has a REALLY good weight distribution for snow driving, but there's a lot of power in the front and I'm not sure the stock 18" tires are as good as dedicated winter tires. And even then, you might want to grab a set of cheapo 17" rims for the winter anyway... I'm not sure you want to drive those 18s through the crap that they throw on the streets when it snows...

But I wouldn't worry too much about performance... as long as you keep your foot under control and you don't try to drive like it's dry, you won't have any problems in the snow.

SilverBelle04,

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh More snow? That is nuts. I am glad we haven't had any here. December of 2003 was awful here with two bad snow storms. Yep AZ is a better bet. A good friend of mine winters in PHX and though I am not so fond of the town the weather can't be beat. Then you can always head northwest to SIN CITY!

Yes, Winter is here in Montreal too....so far total of 1 ft or 30 cms. Its not too cold though..around 29 F or -2 cel. I have a set of brand new Michelin X-ICE as seen in Popular Mechanics this month. They are great. Car has so much control starting and stopping all over this shlop. Hey CanadianMOFO thanks for the Canadian Tire tip...I'll be going there at lunch today. It will be staying like this until March/April next year so got to get used to it...although we never seem to. And ditto on that dedicted home theater in the basement....long live DTS and DOLBY Digital surround sound! LOL!
