Anybody removed there stock speakers and amps?

Ive been wanting to replace all my door speakers and remove my rear bose subs and replace with something better. Run the speakers off some different amps and stuff. Didnt know how much work was involve in removing all the stock speakers and amps. Anybody done it? How many amps are included in the stock stereo?

There is a digital amplifier mounted on the rear deck and a 100W switching amp on the passenger side subwoofer.

I've replace my entire system, except for the stock bose door speakers. I found that with an aftermarekt HU you can tweak the sound and make them sound much better. I actually have a set of MB Quart's that I didn't put in because it sounded fine.
So to answer your question Glude, I don't know. But there is a sticky on tweeter replacement in the how to's:http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?p=3341382
I did remove the rear subs to let my 10's breathe a bit better, 2 screws no problem...
Good luck!!!

Did removing the rear subs make your 10"s sound a lot better? I have everything stock except for additional amp, subs and bass gain adjust in my dash. Just wondering if it makes enough difference to take the stock speakers out.

I didn't make a world of difference but somewhat noticeable, but my installer suggested it so...I went with it. They're easy to take out/put in, could be worth a try to see what you think, I'm sure every set up is a bit different..
