I'm fairly sure they won't fit on the stock headrests... Altimat over at the mp3car forums had to fabricate a custom balsa frame to fit 6.5" TFTs into his '02 Altima... those headrests are about the same size as the '04 Max.

It might be possible, but without some big-*** headrests they just won't fit or they will bulge too much IMO. Outside of their housing, most 7" screens are 6.5" wide and 4 3/16" tall... so I suppose if you took them out and embedded them into some custom fabricated frame, they could fit.

yeah the biggest i was able to fit was a 5.8" screen, without customizing the headrest. If you were to get the leather custom made I suppose that you might be able to squeeze a 7" in the original headrest without fabricating anything.

Can't wait to see the pics, which mirror did you get. I'm not sure if I would make that change because I like the compass, auto dimming feature and remote buttons that the stock mirror has...

waste of money

I don't get a rear view mirror with a LCD screen. Unless you have problem reaching back to reverse what would be the use. It is too small and a waste of money.

How much do you guys use your Nav system? It seams that everyone want's it just to watch DVD's. For that matter just put you a Cube type CPU in trunk connect a VGA adapter to the Nav and instead of just watching movies, rip all your music to the hard drive and store all your music on board and still be able to watch a movie. How does that sound?????? Thats what I things about. I don't want to have to carry any CD'S or DVD's

Goes without saying, but just like in every other internet forums, there have been plenty of people to claim to have done X to car Y. I myself got my Maxima to fly once and I flew it all the way to Guatemala where I was doing tequila shots with the president. I would have posted pictures had my camera not been impounded by the border patrol on my way back into the country from Mexico.

Needless to say, most accomplishments that people claim are utterly worthless without pictures...

Not saying that's the case with this particular thread, but obviously some people would really want it to be true so they can see it (and get more details so they can do it) and some people just plain don't believe until they do see it.

Also.... if you have DIRECTV, I strongly recommend getting the mobile package.

- Attractive antenna system includes 12 volt receiver and remote control; integrates with any backseat video system.
- Breakthrough phased-array antenna design and fully automatic operation
Durable dome mounts securely to vehicle roof rack or directly to the roof

$4.99 per month ($39.99 for mobile-only subscribers).
