I take it you bought a base madel? that is really cheap. I had the state police do the vin etching for free.

I only got the mud guards and floor mats. So its pretty much the Base Model, but I love the car. I am very happy right now since I just got my car back from the shop last week.

Interesting. It gives me a springboard to see where I need to be negotiating from. I don't want to make the mistake I made with my 99 SE-L. This is fascinating how wide the price gap is.

For the future can we please post if the price you paid is OTD or the agreed selling price plus TTF. It will make it easier to determine where to put your price range if shopping for a new car.

2004 SE-
OTD I paid 28,500
Selling price agreed on $26,308
I have mud guards, sliding moon roof (not sky view), and floor mats.

Paid 26,900 + TTL for a 2005 SL w/ DPP, mats, mud guards, & tint right before Christmas. $700 below invoice + $1000 cash back.

I went on a day it was snowing and the weather was bad. Salesman told me there were 50 salespeople working, but I didn't see more than 5 customers the entire 4 hours I was there, so I think that helped with the negotiating.

Kippo... I went to Urban today and looked at a 05 SE with leather, BOSE, spoiler, heated steering wheel and it stickered for 31ish. I think I need to just be hard nosed until I get what I want.

For the Max you saw at Urban (05 SE, with DPP), I would almost bet you can get that for $27,000-$27,500 + TTL at Trophy (includes $1k cash rebate).

I'd be curious what kind of interest rate those who took the $1000 cash back on their '05s were offered as an alternative. I bought my '05 in December and the deal was $1K back or 2% financing. Financing at 2% was the far better deal.

For comparison purposes, I'd like to see the pricing quoted here be the negotiated sell price without any cash back and without TTL as those rates and fees differ from state to state and certainly not including any trade-ins

'05 SL, Smoke, Black interior, DPP, Power Sun Roof, Sirius Satellite installed, splash guards, maps - sales price on the contract was $29,922.

As others have mentioned, prices will differ depending on the time of month that you buy, the particular dealer and how much inventory they might have and how desperate they want to get rid of it. Also, for those listing '04 prices, if that was before or after the '05s hit the dealers that would make a difference as well.

Phil, interesting point. I want to know what drive out prices meaning TT&L included are since I have secured my own financing. I don't qualify for the 2%, so I have financing through my credit union which is good... I also trust them more than any F&I guy. They will try to knock your head off since that is how they get paid. And they get paid well.

Is there any way you could scan your buyer's order? I would love to get the same deal that you did. If you can, scractch out your info and e-mail it to me at ilichramirez@hotmail.com. I would like to get a new car this weekend.

Unfortunately, I can't do it today. I'm at work and going straight to Houston after work. The earliest I could send it to you would be Monday. Can I give you any other information?

By the way, I went through Trophy's internet dept., and they quoted me invoice over the phone and then I went in and haggled.

I'm just curious as to why some of you have gotten these dealer add-ons like "clear coat" and "leather protection"? All cars today come with a thick coat of clear. It's not like they take your car into a paint booth and reshoot it with another coat of clear. As for the leather protection, all they do is use a leather treatment you could get at a store for $15. And the dent protection, most paintless dent removal places charge $60-70 for the first dent and then $10-15 for each additional dent.

All that stuff on the "addendum" sticker is bologna. It is just for them to virtually add to the car's price. Notice I said price, not value. I always start from the car's MSRP that came from Nissan. There is also no such thing as undercarriage protection. They can say it since people actually think that it's a real thing. I have never seen a tech check a new car and then put undercarriage nothing on them...except fingerprints.

yes we know. why bump your thread? do you think a dealer is trolling to see who he can sell one to? I doubt you will get a better deal (especially if it is the color/options you want).

Just buy her already and post pics, experience, etc.

What is fully loaded? Elite package or DPP? Nav? Satellite radio? Because if it's truly fully loaded, I can't believe you aren't jumping on $27,988. I think invoice for an elite with nav and SR is like 31k.

umm your not talking about the elite package then..cause im sorry to say that the sticker is close to about 37k..dont know what you are looking at...seeing how my sticker was 32,700 with driver preferred package(step below elite package)...with nav(2k) rear buckets, rear seat warmers, sunshade..just priced it out on nissans site..36,430

This is the second time I've seen you say this the Elie package is only 900 more then the DPP package. Without nav you the msrp of an elite sl is 31,500. If you have any bartering skills what so ever you can easily get this for 30,000. If your actually good even less.

I don't know what it is with the obsession over the elite package being so much money but it is only 900 more then a dpp.

******, read closer, I said INVOICE, not MSRP. My built car from nissanusa is $35,080 MSRP. And invoice is somewhere in the 31k territory.

And just so you know, this is exactly what I'm looking at,

Mystic Blue with Leather Frost interior
6 speed
Elite - adds rear spoiler, DPP, Sensory, and Premium Audio
Nav
Sirirus - adds floor mats

Changing elite to DPP makes the MSRP $34,130. Not a huge difference.

OKOKOK Last post on this thread for me. I just picked up my 2005 SE in Majestic Blue. I think I wanna marry it. It rocks. I feel like a rock star. I feel more umph-y than one of those people that drive the new 300C's... I am glad I looked and looked for the best deal. AND to top it all off I got 4% from Nissan. Today is a good day. I gotta go to bed so I can wake up and drive it!!!!

Final price was $28,450 + TTL since I opted for a fully equipped (minus elite and navi) SE. This includes tint and mats. I would take pics, but it hasn't stayed still long enough to take a still shot. I love the folding mirrors... it's like looking out the window of a plane when the wings are changing position during landing. The heated steering wheel... something I didn't think I needed until now that I have it. Nice... I could have gone a couple hundred cheaper, but the salesman was real good, and I figured he has to get paid also.

when i got mine.. SE black sunroof... the sticker was something like 29000 or something like that.. i think that price also included the destination fee..

well after walking out (several times) i got the car for around 25500 - 26000... i felt bad for the salesperson... the deal took all day, with negotiations and she only made $50 on the car... ehh... the pirce was good for me...

I've found that the best approach is to visit various dealerships internet sites. Many dealers list their inventory on their sites and provide their pricing there as well. You'll notice that prices are currently well below invoice. Send messages to the internet reps at the dealership informing them of the best price you've seen to date and ask them if they can beat the price. Request that they email you the their detailed quote. Then go to the dealer that you prefer to work with, ask for their internet rep, show them the best quote and see if they can beat it. This worked very well for me. I paid about $27,200 for an 05 SL with DPP, floor mats, mud guards, and Sirius radio. This price included the dealers $289 processing fee. Of course TTL was extra.

No the elite package is simply the DPP plus rear bucket seats, console with 12v plugin in rear, heated rear seats, and sunshade.

The bose is included in a different package but the Nav is acompletely seperate item from any package.
