Ok this first pic is my car with the normal bulbs in them. As you can see the spread is pretty good. Fills the entire assembly up top.

Now you can see it with the LED bulbs in. They do not fill the assembly with light like a tradition bulb. But I still like them. These pictures stink, if you saw them in person it looks better.

Here you can see where I mounted the RL-650 Load Resistor. It circled it in blue. I used liquid nail. Hope it holds. You have to use a resistor or the turn signals flash at a very fast rate.

One last pic of the LED brake and turn signal. The turn signal and the brake lights both double as taillights as you can see here. Its not the best pic in the world. For some reason the LED's just don't take good pics. They must be shy of the camera.

Please forgive my dirty car. Winters been rough in the Chicago burbs this year and salt is everywhere. Its sickening I know. I got the car washed earlier in the week but it obviously doesn't get cleaned under the hood. I will do that this spring.

Without the resistor the turn signal looks like its on crack. Its a bit too fast.

Ok this might sound strange. But if you have the headlights on during the day and use the signal. Its actually quite dim looking. The LED's low and high brightness don't differ much. At night its plenty and no big deal. IF the headlights are off the difference between it being off and then flashing on is real noticeable so its fine.

Lesson here, if you want LED. Don't use your headlights during the day, makes the signal harder to notice.

his post said "Select Red or White LEDs" unless it stated color elsewhere.

Only if you use the LED for blinkers will they flash rapidly. I only have it installed in the top part of the tail light. I'm waiting for that resistor to come in so I can put them on the blinkers.

Pal, did you use the exact same bulbs as Doc?
The light seems to spread out pretty good in your pics.
Are you happy with the results??
Next project...

the top is the tail light, the bottom blinks. I only have the top in so far.

here is a clip of the light so u can see that the bottom blinks (my camera skills suck though!) http://www.putfile.com/media.php?n=100_0320

as far as the out come, yeah I like them, although the standard light still produces a little more light when you have the brake pressed.

since the stock bulbs are white light, how come they tell us to get the light bulb that matches the outer shell. Wouldnt a white bulb shine more than a red colored one?

Top is tail and brake. Middle is tail and turn. Oops missed the above post.

I used the clear LED's. The bulbs that come stock in the assembly are clear also. My guess is red LED bulbs would not be as bright.

Hrm, I am tempted to get some red LED's and compare them side by side. Yours looks pretty bright but its hard to guess with these pics.
