Is there a mode or a way to set my screen to work like a non nav equipped max when not using the navigation? I cant think of a good way to put it in simpler terms without it sounding funny, but basically what I'm after is seeing if there is a way to make better use of the screen real estate for the radio, ext. temp, hvac, etc, as well as not having to agree to the terms of the navigation every time I start the car and having the map up when I dont need it. In other words, display pretty much like a non navigation equipped max untill I select using navigation. Can it be done?

 

If you don't hit the agree button the screen should go to black. Just hit the "Trip" button until you get to a screen that you may want to look at during your ride. I usually look at the "Mpg" screen when I don't want to see the map.
