Actually just ordered the G Tech Pro SS model. I have read some great reviews on them and they seem to be pretty accurate. Will report back on how it works out.

So where would you plug in the gtechpro in the maxima? Doesn't it need a cigarette lighter?

Interesting...

Yeah I just came across these as well. Passport GT1 and GT2 timers, it's sound like a pretty good and acurate toy. So did anyone buy this yet, want to hear the actual experience.

Gtech Pro SS

I got the GTech last week, it seems to be pretty accurate. I made two 0 to 60 runs a 6.5 & 6.6, the only 1/4 mile run was rushed [traffic was catching up to me] I spun the tires off the line so bad that I could smell the brunt rubber, I know I can do better then 15.1 it recorded. More testing to come. will post findings

Machinist, does this plug into your pcm or something? Just wondering how it detects RPMs.

Gtech Pro SS

Plugs into the 12v outlet, then during the car setup, the idle rpm is set , and then a steady 4000rpm then 2000 rpm are set. The redline is input. car weight is entered, and so on. It picks up from the cars electrical system......

I have no idea as to its accuracy but I had one. Sold it after the novelty wore off.

What do you mean, "novelty wore off", was it any good, did you like it?

Expensive. Take your car to the nearest Dragstrip and get a time slip for a lot less.
