Removing crank bolt

What direction is the crank bolt for removing the pulley. Is it left handed thread or normal thread? In other words, as u look at the bolt, does it remove counterclockwise, liek normal bolts, or not?

i might be wrong, but to loosen a bolt or a nut, don't you have to turn it counterclockwise?

Normally, yes, but in some cases, I have seen crankshaft bolts that have reverse threads. It depends on the direction that the engine rotates. I believe if the engine rotates counterclockwise, then the chrank bolt will have reverse threads. Thats why I want to hear from someone who removed their pulley themselves.

Are you putting in a racing pulley? Its a left-handed tread per my friend who installed his. He says you need a special tool to hold the pulley when you take off the bolt. Also to let you know when he installed his and the guy who installed mine the power steering adjusting bolt broke. If you need any more advice on this issue let me know and I will ask my friend. Later Warren

Damn--you guys are taking this car stuff too seriously!! Leave that nice bolt alone and read a good book or something.

Well it felt like it made the biggest increase in power. I felt it more than the intake or exhaust. Intake actually didnt help much if any. Engine revs a quicker. Do any of you guys have major traction problems? Im thinking its related to my fronts struts being in pretty bad shape but im not sure. I can spin all of 1st and second spins so bad when I shift. sometimes I can scratch 3rd. Maybe its from the mods, but I just think its my front shocks.
