22' on max?
I've seen some picture of 6 gens on 22's how is this possible. my local shop says its possible to put on but impossible to drive. i dunno if he's just too lazy to look at the real specification or its really true...

Yes, can be done and can drive. Now....people in the back and a big box can make a difference. In the front with out HUGE gap, you could fit a 24 in there. Personally, a few weeks ago, had 3 people in the rear of my Max, about 550 pounds of people in the back, I also have a massive ported box in the back....with 20" rims, one of my buddies said he could hear tires rubbing. With 22" I would expect you would not want many people in the back. Just my experience. It can be done....and has...is it practical, not really.
Like I said...has been done, but the function is a question.

The only thing that needs to be done is rolling the inside fender so if/when your tire does rub/s it doesn't gash your expensive tires. Also only 2 chicks or two light passengers in the rear unless you have an imaginary (air ride) that know one can see.(maxima617) If you can spend that much on suspension you should have enough money for a digital cam to show it off. So lets see some pictures. TSW carries 2 styles and their are a couple other manufacturers with the correct offset and width.
-Put 22's on it Don't lower it- just my 2 cents

From looking at the pics, the first and third ones are lowered. Second one is still stock heighth. Nismomax80, the tires for 19s are actually more expensive then 20 inch tires. If your gonna go bigger then you might as well not worry about performance. I think the 22s look hot but I would never do it.

how wide are you guys getting them. that rim on the pic only comes in 22x9.5. I was just wondering.

tek niq actually those sre 22x9. they are tsw carlton's. i was going to get those but too much chrome. i got the kaotik finesse. to fit 22's it has to be a 45 offset. you can do 22x 8.5 or 22x 9.0. 22x9.5 wont fit, it will rub. the lowest offset you can do is 38. thats the offset i have on the kaotiks. those exclusive wheels above are 22x8.5 with a 45 offset. those tsw carlton's are 22x9 with a 45 offset as well. the bolt patterns for our cars is 5 x 114.3. thats what all these rims are. the only tires for these 22's is the nitto nt555. the size is 255/30/r22. watch out for the potholes. one time i hit one, i had to check my underwear.

i know kcmax ive been laggin onthat. will post pics soon though. tekniq, the 22's do slow down the max a little bit but you know what, im kind of glad i have the 22's because if i didn't i have them i think i would have a lot of speeding tickets. reason being that with the 30 series tire you cant **** up and hit a pothole or its a wrap for the rims, with the 22's i drive more careful and not as fast cuz i got to be on the lookout for the potholes. it does get to be a pain sometimes but receiving all the compliments makes it worth it.

Gotta give you and the shop props for the custom air-ride. What'd that set you back? I do have to say that I totally despise that body kit. It does nothing for the line of the max imo. That's the love of this hobby though, to each their own. Nice work and keep moddin.

Looks like 20" is the maximum reccomended size for this car. No wonder tirerack doesnt sell wheels that are bigger than 20 for this car. I want the 'tuner' look, not the ghetto fab look, im white. Sorry if this offends anyone lol
