would you guys want a turbo? lets get some intrest on it... check post 270 in this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=378986 cool post if you would be of intrest on it or not... maybe if they look at this thread they can show us some love, and possibly answer some questions............

on a 02 max they are pushing over 400hp on it.... remember that the stock VQ can only handle bout 460hp before needing engine mods.......

400 hp to the rear wheels would be awesome. 400 hp to the front, not so nice.

i think a supercharger would be better. There is already a S/C made for this engine, just not our car.

would it really be that hard to modify the piping for one of the 350z or G35 supercherchargers for our engine compartment? I mean..the supercharger is gonna be the same..just placing it somewhere and running pipes..right?

I don't think it's a question of interest... SSR knows that we want forced induction on our cars... hell, we bug them about it enough, answered that poll posted about interest, etc.

I said it before, seeing how long it took them to get this thing together, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a year or more to see something for the 6th gen. And with that said, I'm really hoping I'm wrong and we'll see something sooner rather than later...

As far as sound, depends on what type of s/c. An impeller type will give a whistle/ high pitched whine, roots type gives a deeper gear rotating whine.

But sound shouldn't be the deciding factor when purchasing f/i.

There shouldn't be too many modifications for you 6 genners, as this already fits the Alti, and the chassis is very similar. Minor tweaks needed.

this is what other people do, they get a simple turbo and go to a shop and have them route the pipes through... might need a shop that knows what they are doing of course, but it has been done to other cars that is....

wuz up with a turbo/ SC for the 6th gen?
