(I got the pictures from the CL-S forum on the 6th gen which was the first place I found that agreed with what I thought regarding the Saturn resemblance)

you're right!
I wonder how long until somebody sues somebody for copying their design lol!
On the downside, anybody who buys one will get comments on how nice their saturn is - I wonder how many people will decide not to get one just because they don't want to be associated with a g@$da@# piece of cruddy plastic american car
The one reason I doubt I'll be getting another Maxima 6th gen or higher is because it's built in the US. I'm sure I'm not the only one not to trust a north american built car as much as I would a japanese built Nissan or a german built BMW... no offence to anybody but I think guys at the north american lines have more of a reputation of working the machinery with their left hand while they work their own machinery in their pants with their right...

and Toyota threatened to sue Ford if they used their lettering system to name the Lincoln LS cars. They were originally going to call them LS8 and LS6 to reflect their engine options.

So, they were going to sue themselves? Jeep/Chrysler is the same company, just different divisions. And GM makes the Hummer, not Jeep or Chrysler. Also, Ford (Lincoln) went ahead and used the LS and LS V8 logos anyway. You sure you got the right info?

As for Toyota and Ford...who knows...

First the back of the new Accord sedan looks like the 1st gen Saturn L series and now the new Max looks like a Saturn Ion. What's this world coming to when you start copying designs from Saturn??
I might be wrong, but I think AM General (makers of the humvee) were directly related to AMC who made the Jeep; years later we are in the present when GM owns AM General who maintains its grille design similar to that of the Jeep, and from there the story goes on..

I agree 04 about the new GS comparison. When my wife and I saw the Lexus commercial we thought it was a cool Max commercial. With a quick glance it's easy to mix the two cars up. GS

).The 430 is all kinds of badass, but my friend went to the dealership to price it (he had a GS last year) and after it was all said and done they were asking for $61k.
OUCH.

61k! That's steep for a Lexus in my opinion
I don't know Viguera when I look at the comparisons of these two (04 MaxSe sig picture). I'm seeing a lot of similarities especially at the rear. But I agree after further inspection, most people should be able to tell them apart
