Driver seat squeaks

I recently noticed that my seat squeaks when I gover bumps or if I move around on it. It's very annoying.

Anyone else with that issue. Potential solutions?

I just know that my dealer will tell me they can't replicate that one...

Thanks.

All quiet

Good luck with this issue.

My driver's seat on my 05 SL (approx 10K miles) has been quiet this far.

Yep... this has been a reported issue here for several months, although the dealers can never seem to replicate.

I've always thought it was a potential safety hazard myself.

If anyone has a solution or if a dealer actually has a fix, share the info please.

Replace the seat cushion...I had it done and the seat squeak went away. Is the noise coming from where the controls to move it are? If so it's due to a plastic support piece that rubs up against the seat controls. Anoying as hell. See if that's the spot where noise comes from.

It seems to be coming from the right side of the seat in the cushion. It's hard to tell sometimes in a car, you think the noise is coming from one area but it's actually from another. I'll take it to the dealer, this is very annoying.

Msoemax,

Was it hell to get them to replace it? I have the squeaking big time. My dealer never seems to be able to "replicate" the problems.

Did they replace the whole bottom portion?

Yes it was hell to replace it just like anything else with nissan....I took the service manager 3 complaints and 90dB of noise for him to finally notice it. Fockers....I would demonstrate what to do to make it squeak. If all else fails try a different dealership. I have no faith in nissan service anymore.
