Power Outside Mirrors problems

Hi guys.

I'm having problems with my outside Mirrors since the same day I got the car, first it was the passenger side one, now both of them have the same problem.

It's nothing related to the Flipping mechanism, but to the power mirror itself, most of the time I have needed to move the mirror it simply get stuck, I need to move it completely to the left, then it gets loose and then it moves to the right, it was like that since I got it last month but now it just doesn't move to any side, unless I stop the car and go to the mirror, and force it with my hand, then, I can use the Power Mirror.

I went to one of the few Nissan Service center in my area and they don;t work on Saturday, didn't accept my car at the time I went (couldn't do anything better due to my Working hours) and didn;t seem they wanted to help me at all. Other service center in my area is one of teh dalership, but is almost certain that I will need to leave my car there for 1-2 days just to check it out.

I'm just wondering if any of you guys had the same problems before, if yes, How could you solve it?, Can it be easy enough so I can do it myself?

Thanks.

Hey man, in all my years with cars, I had never done that before, I think that's just one of the few things I have never done in a car, and for some reason it was so simple that I feel very dumb right now.

Since day one when I call the dealer, they told me that it was some clip or something that was left on the mirror by accident, and I just believed it, what a dummy, I never tried to fix it myself because of that, thinking that if I opened them will void warranty, jeje.

I just moved it to one side, once it got stucked, I moved it manually to the other side and then continue adjusting it, I did the same for both mirrors, and then tried both of my memory positions, and it didn't get stuck a single time, so it worked.

Thanks.

off topic access, full search capability, monthly prize giveaway, custom avatar, custom subtitle. that's all i can think of, can't recall anything else. well of course the pride that you're helping to prevent further crashes.

if you've been here for past ones, it's like going cold turkey....

You are right, if this wasn't for this forum, I should have lost a lot of time on a Service Center, Time means Money, so yep, I will do it, I was waiting to finish my Terrace construction in order to do it, but now that I'm almost done with the construction, will do it.
