I emailed Brian the other day asking about a cattback system for our cars, heres what he had to reply:

We’re working out way through some new parts for the 04+ Maxima, developing some, finding others. Here are a few.

We have a catback prototype about 90% complete, it will be finished up in a few weeks. Stainless steel, dual mufflers, 4 tips (haven’t made a final tip decision, leaning towards oval for the prototype). Don’t know the final cost on this, though I hope to keep it under $800.

We’ve got headers that will fit an 04+ NZ/Australia-spec Maxima, but which require some alterations to fit the North American version. We’ll pick that project back up once we get another header project completed.

Progress Technologies recently completed development on a new rear sway bar that will be released exclusively through Cattman Performance. It’s a sweet little unit, affordable, easy to install, and really makes a big difference. We should have these in stock within 2-3 weeks. Progress will follow shortly thereafter with a new set of lowering springs. Both parts will be reasonably priced.

If you have a 6-speed, I recently installed a new short throw shifter kit and the energy suspension bushings which I recommend highly (a couple of the few parts that will cross over between the 03 and 04). I have a several heavier-duty clutches to choose from and at least two different lightened flywheels.

For an excellent basic intake, I’d recommend the JWT POP intake, which bolts up to the MAF sensor.

I’m not a big fan of UDPs, they don’t make much power on engine’s like the VQ series because the belts they underdrive don’t carry a very significant load.

Let me know if you have other questions.
