2004 Maxima Dyno???

Does anyone have a 2004 Maxima dyno? Plenty of 5th gen VQ35DE's but so far no 6th gen VQ35DE dynos. Can't find 6th gen dynos anywhere.

None in the dyno section. I hear you guys have more top end.

Your dynos are wierd compared to all the others. Torque is a bit lower but 221whp on a stock auto is G territory

They take 20 per cent off the 265 HP that is advertised by Nissan which is at the crank. I have a Injen cold air in-take, racing pulley and Greddy SP-2 catback system which brought the hp to 261 at the wheels. The tech said that the crank HP should be around 310. Warren

I gotta get mine redyno'd with the racing pulley! I am running the same setup as you but with a Stillen Intake and not an Injen. Damn those are good numbers Ramberg... Even Injen's website only has 218hp listed as their highest numbers :O BTW - what size rims are you running, would that make a difference since I have 19's???

Mine seems all screwy

I'm confused - How can bolt ons add 45 more HP to the crank??? How did they run 1/4 mile times on a dyno? Again, not hating you know I got much respect for you Ramberg, those numbers look amazing, just wondering... Thanks for posting the sheet!

They take 20 per cent off the 265 at the crank. They do the dyno from the wheels The tech said about 310 HP from the crank, so I quess they add 20 per cent to the 261. The Dyno machine that they use can do 1/4 miles. They have the lights like at the track on the machine. They take off when the main light turns green.

Pully 8-10 HP, Injen 10 to 15 HP, Greddy 10 to 15 HP

Most people here use dynojet 248c, so comparing typical dynojet results to the Mustang dyno would nearly be comparing apples to oranges.

on a dynojet, Typically manual transmissions = -15-18%, autos, ~20%.

Mods usually don't accumulate on top of each other, but rather build in different regions of the curve.

Stillen does not have them in stock. The guys who did the dyno are going to get back to me with some information about a different header. Warren

Headers will be nice, but the Stillens did nothing for the 02-03's. What other headers are you talking about?

What was your offer?
A couple of years ago, (I've had my 2k4 that long,) I offered to take my then low milage all stock 6speed to a dyno in the Dallas area if the critics would name the place whose results they would trust.

Would you guys say your intake manifolds are superior to the 02-03s? 02-03s seem to be all torque, while you guys seem to be all top end (better for a FWD car)?

we have manual mode which will not shift unless you redline or drop below 1k RPM.

so can anyone explain the details of the dyno? is it just in 1st gear, or do some do every gear and report on the best range?
