The 9012 bulb is a 9012 size. Just like 900X sizes. There are two versions 9011 (high beam) and 9012 (low beam). They are an HIR bulb. Meaning it reflects infrared energy back into itself to raise the colour temperature.

Its been discussed to death here already. I belive either 9004 or 9005 fits into the same location but you will be downgrading the total light output of your headlights if you replace them. Aside from true HID's there are nearly no other bulbs that have the same light output.

9012 bulbs can be made to fit 9006 sockets with minor modification.
Same goes for 9011 bulbs to 9005 sockets.

Don't bother wasting your time and money with non HID lamps...unless you really want something to look like blueish go for it. The european silverstar is the only lamp worth looking into if you plan on messing around. the 9011,9012,9006,9005 bases are all different. You will have to play around to make a 9005 lamp fit into the 9011 base. IMHO it's not worth the hassle to have a lower light output for a more blue lamp.

look here for more info

i have searched ebay, and i have searched for other threads concerning the 9012 bulb fitments, but my searchs come back insufficient. My goal is to not go for the blue style look but to increase visibility. Im not complaing about the light output with the factory bulbs now, i just want...more.

like said earlier, the only way to get what you want is to convert to the OEM HIDs. We have the best/brighest HIDs and Halogens. Anything else, you will sacrafice something. You will lose output.

Alright check this out, i did one search on ebay and found 2 sets of xenon assemblies. One guy is asking on two seperate auctions $205 buy it now. which comes to a total of $410 for both of them. The thing with this guy is that it doesnt have bulbs, but thats no biggie ebay is my friend.
He lives in the adjacent city to me so im contacting him so i can go check out the products.
There are two more auctions from two other people. One is offering 175 and the other 135.
Do you guys think these are good prices. Well any price lower than factory price is a great, but do you guys think i can get away with 300 bucks for both of them?
