Max got caked......

Ya, never heard of it either, but it happened to me. I came home friday around midnight and woke up to find this:

Who the heck carries around a strawberry cake at midnight? Dumba$$es. Feel sorta special tho, cake does cost money when they could've just pissed on my max for free.

That is just the dumbest thing. Some people are just plain stupid. At least it wasn't anything that would ruin the finish on the car.

Mine got hit with an egg the other night (Friday) sitting in front of my home. Luckily it did not make an impact with my paint.....I was mad as hell though. Probably some dumb kids.

Based on the look it, point of impact seems to be the front windshield, thrown from ground level, slid over the car and down the back. Recommend you question all the Honda owners in your neighborhood...

Your dad will be glad you cleaned that cake off his car, but I don't know what he'll think about the sticker on the rear window.

If the car is yours, you should consider yourself very lucky at age 17.

Well, it is my car as I bought it myself. I didnt park it in the garage because my parents got home before me and both their cars were in it. Well i don't think he woudnt mind the sticker as Carnegie has top ranked comp sci program in the country (only takes 100 a year and rivals MIT's) so i think he might be a smidge proud of me.

Ya, i guess it wasnt as bad as what could've happened to it. I had my car egged one on halloween at a friends hosue but it was only windshield

It's taken with my treo 650, pretty good i guess for .3 megapixels.

So far I heard of cake, milk, and the ultimate Popeyes Chicken and Coke. YOu have to be sh**ing me right? Is there some urban legend or internet site that has something against the Maxima? The one posts says the guy was driving when the chicken and coke was thrown at him by another moving car. People are nuts!!!

Came out to the parking garage yesterday at work. There were contractors pressure spraying the parking decks and they had blown water and debris all over my car. In addition there were little pieces of concrete all over it. They even had the nerve to say "We've been waiting on you to leave". I was one of the last one's left where they were working. I was pissed. Had to go directly to the car wash and spray it all off.

I complained to corporate real estate and they apologized and stated they would deal with the contactor and that the area should have been blocked off earlier so no one could park there. Security has video cameras that should have captured it all.

Luckily no damage, but it just pisses me off. At least the car was already a little dirty and I hadn't just detailed it. I'm gonna try to get corporate real estate to pay for a detail. Damn, I swear I have the worst luck. This car is snake bitten.

Well its just really strong, school of comp sci takes about 100-130 undergrad a year and pretty exclusive even in carnegie mellon as it dosnt take transfers from other majors, but i cant say anything about classes as i havnt taken any. Ranked #1 in computer science/engineering with Stanford and MIT. Its supposed to have pretty much a 100% placement rate after graduation, either job or grad school. I will most likely take the 5 year mba and bs in comp sci then get masters in comp sci after, something along those lines. But, how are you doing in the industry? Got to be doing pretty good driving a max, right?

no respect

It's too bad that some people won't respect other people's property and incidents such as yours occur. To me, the real issue isn't that your Maxima got caked, it's that any person has so little respect for another person's space or property that it is OK to pull a stunt such as what happened to you. Even if it was a 75 Ford Pinto or an AMC Gremlin or a rusty bicycle with a flat tire, no one should treat another's property like that. To my way of thinking, the issue is the cake more than the car. Let me explain with a personal example. I just got my rear bumper redone last week to the tune of over $400, and in less than 48 hours there was another mark on it (from someone scraping just below the trunk entry as they were loading something into the trunk). If it was a legitimate accident I could handle it, but it bugs me that no one seems to care if it isn't theirs. I think there is a lot of truth to the saying that we don't value what we don't earn or pay for (notice how liberally many people litter public places with aluminum cans, fast food containers, and cigarette butts). Of course, the real challenge for all of us is to reciprocate the same level of respect and consideration to others that we desire from them. Notice how people's attutude toward their abode differs if they rent than if they own, or how people treat a rental car as opposed to their own vehicle. It really shouldn't make any difference, should it?

I graduated from CMU in EE in Dec '91. It's a very competitive environment, but worth it after graduation. CMU graduates (especially Comp Sci and engineering) are very highly respected. Good luck to you!
