Finished Painting Calipers Red

Well just finished painting my calipers yesterday. A 4 hour job but I think the results are good. I used G2 caliper paint. Then wet sanded with a 1000 grit then clear coated with VFT clear coat. What do you think?

Is the paint brush on? There is no need to remove the calipers correct? What is the advantage of the clearcoat?

Yes, paint brush on. Yes, NO need to remove the calipers.
Other advice, art brushes work best for detailing and getting in tight spots. For the professional look of course!
I also used some painter's tape around hoses and the disc rotors, Just In Case! The clear coat is ideal for coating over letters so they won't gray or dirty. If you don't put on letters (I didn't), no need to clear coat. The process is tedious, however the end result is awesome...

OH, before I forget, CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN those calipers well before painting...

I like the red. I almost went with that color. However, my car has developed a Silver and Black Theme so I stuck with it.

I am having a silver Mazx logo made by my company's graphics guy to put on the calipers. Hopefully he'll be done before 2007...

I ordered my new rotors and pads the other day. I think when I do the brakes I may paint the calipers as well. Can you give a link of where you found the paint? I'm really up in the air about what color to paint them at the moment. Car is smoke with tinted windows......any ideas?
