Factory Wing

Im really wanting to add a factory wing to my car.. I think they look awsome. Mine is Frost. I have some concerns though I want to do it myself to save money. I want to make sure it comes painted, secondly, the wing goes over the factory nissan emblem and has an emblem on the wing. Will it come with the emblem, and will i have to take the old one off? Is it easy to do and does it come with every thing i need? Thanks so much.

You can get a painted one with all the hardware here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...972993721&rd=1

You will have to remove the emblem that is there and buy a new emblem for the spoiler.

That is a really good deal however I need the Smoke color, he doesnt offer. Is it hard to remove the old emblem, any tips and what about acquiring a new emblem? Has anyone done this mod themself?

Dude, I had a factory spoiler and did not care too much for it, after debadging the trunk, I installed a custom emblem and new spoiler with a 4th Brake light that was pre-painted in factory color. Check out Ebay...

Hmm, I would shoot them an email to confirm that they do not have your color. As for removal of the old emblem, check here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ight=debadging

The rear dots are two stainless steel chrome plated screws. Better than the holes...

That's the great thing about cardomain and Max.org, I turned ramberg on to the emblem and he took it a step further by adding LED lights. I like his mod it looks hot, however mine worked for me.

this thread has me very you have a Smoke Max, want a factory wing, and say yours is Frost First there is no such thing as a factory wing. so i assume you mean spoiler. okay, so what do you have that is Frost??

you of course need to remove the emblem to install a spoiler. there is a thread on removing a factory one w/ screws. i think some knock off ones are only 3M tape.

I was not thinking when i said frost. Ok it is frost interior... As for the wing or spoiler Sorry if i didnt use the CORRECT terminology for the car. My point was made..

The reason I asked about removing the wing is because I went to the dealer and the guy at the parts counter argued with me and told me that you dont have to take off the emblem and there is no need to buy a new emblem for the wing. So I was verifying. And just so you know it has already been verified on how to remove the emblem. If you want to offer some helpful information I need to know where to get a emblem for the wing. The screw in kind. If I took this wrong I appologize in advance, now moving on.

Here's where you can get the OEM emblem for the spoiler. I used these folks when I needed an extra front emblem.

As for the custom wing style one.

That sounds a little high since a painted spoiler only costs $100 add in an emblem and you're only up to $112 without shipping. However, since you're talking about the price at the dealer, $199 sounds about right.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, when I was looking for my car, I found one without a spoiler that I liked. I asked the salesman how much it would be to add one and he said about $200.
