Price check on foglights, and installtion

Hi, I own a 2004 se maxima, and my foglight blew about 4 times before my 36k warranty ended, other problems, but Dont wanan discuss, How much is a foglight, and how much would it cost to have it installed, my dealer ship says its 15$ for the light and 150$ for the install? is that right? Becuase I never knew installing a light cost that much..

they're gouging you on labor. My dealer wanted $30. there is a sticky on how to replace them. I paid $15 a bulb for my PIAAs. wouldn't pay more than $5 for oem ones.

dealer should have checked your wiring on so many replacements. I would call Nissan so get some support since they never addressed the real problem under warranty. unless you unluckily got 4+ bad bulbs.

that, you buy an extended warranty and have them check the wiring.

*edit: CALL NISSAN the paper is not your only proof of warranty. Dealer seems really shady. They should have looked it up for you. same as making money off your repeat bulb replacements. I have a feeling you being 19 they see prey.

i just replaced the passenger side...took about 15 minutes. have to take the panel off that covers the juice bottles, then just snake you hand in there. if you have smallish hands it's easier. be careful though, the bulb onlygoes in one way. if you look at the bulb there is a round notch and a square notch. the round notch goes DOWN.

the drivers side is a little more difficult, helps if you have an aftermarket intake, otherwise you have to take off the air filter housing...should take maybe 30 minutes for the driver's side.

I'd personally rather buy a bulb every 10k miles for $4 and take 20mins to put it in myself than give them $150, they laugh all the way to the bank
