New Interior Mods

OK, finally installed the last piece of my latest interior mod. Started will MOMO Pedals and MOMO Crystal Shift ****, Tenzo-R Billet Alluminum E-brake handle and custom calf-skin leather E-brake Boot. Topped off the dash with a REAL Burl Wood dash and console kit. Nismo accessories in the back, 1000 Channel Police, Fire, Rescue & Military Scanner & and a radar detector. Anyway, just an FYI of what is going on in the community...

Interesting combination of sport and luxury. The wood trim came out very well. I really like your shift **** but would be afraid to saw the shaft on mine.

BTW: Have you thought about changing your interior lights to some colored LEDs?

Thanks for the recommendation, I do want to get amber or red lower LED lights for the inside interior. Thanks for the feedback...

hey chernmax,

Like the wood nice touch .. just a question in one of the photos it shows your rear centre arm rest touching the seat at the front is it broken or do they all look like that over there ? If that is standard that is pretty poor effort by nissan at trim finish...

I'm pretty new here. It looks great. Just bought a 2005 SE and looking to do some of the things you've done. Some will take time, Question, did the Momo Shift **** fit perfectly? Also, the Trenz Grill looks great. ANything speacial there? Did you have to buy the emblem from Nissan to put it on?

Any help would be appreciated.

Im not feeling the mixture of luxurious burlwood and Tenzo/Nismo ricey things...But what I am liking is the fantastic quality of that wood kit...Is that the "molded" kit rather than the flat? It looks better on the console than OEM does, instead of looking like it was glued on there it almost looks like real OEM stuff. Im liking it, where did you get it?

Center rear armrest is designed that way, looks different, However if you notice the slope of the seat, the armrest does form a good 90% angle to rest your arm or place a cup on the 2 holders.

The Momo Shift ****: Even before I shaved the 1-1/2" off the shaft, the **** fit perfect. The kit when I bought it came with 3 different size sleaves, select the one that fits and tighten down the 3 allen screws, job done...

Trenz grill (with Logo version) did not come with a Nissan emblem, so if you purchase one, you can order an emblem from the dealer or Ebay (I used the Ebay method).

Thanks for hitting me up...

The Real Burl Wood kits only come in Flat. I purchased from the following site:

Thanks for the feedback

Simple Questions

Thanks so much for your response Chernmax. Just a couple more questions. Was the Trenz Grill hard to install. Someone posted what looked like a nightmare what they went through. Also, does the emblem fit and stick in that grill without any trouble? I realise it is the grill with the cut out for the emblem. I am quite torn between teh trenz and the billet with the stock emblem. (Although that emblem is big)

The Trenz grill uses all existing holes and requires NO drilling, I am no expert on Billet, however I have seen Max owner threads which indicated drilling was required or they came with self taping screws. The install for the Trenz took me about 25 Minutes (taking my time since I had never installed one before either). The emblem attaches using double stick tape that came on the back of the emblem when I purchased on Ebay. Trenz also makes a grill that does not have an emblem, see ramberg for the Trenz grill without emblem, both I think are equally hot, it's just a matter of your like's and dislikes. Other than that, the only tool I needed was a flat tip screwdriver to remove the plastic plugs that hold the original on, If you don't have a CAI, you will have to disconnect your stock air intake cover located over the radiator, again, the flat tip screwdriver should do it. I have attached a picture of Rambergs hot front end to show an example of a Trenz without emblem.

Good luck, hope the info helps...

You're awesome Chernmax. I think I prefer the Trenz with the emblem. I just hope the emblem stays on with the winters we have here in Toronto Canada. Is that a Billet Bumper insert on the bumper of Rambergs? Oh, and excuse my ignorance, what is a CAI?

Once again, thanks

Correct, the lower grill is a billet insert that is attached with 2 provided clips (installs in about 10 minutes using a philip screwdriver) . I have one also and I like the look. As for the cold winters, the double stick tape should work fine, heck every other emblem on your ride is held on by it.

Last, sorry, CAI stands for Cold Air Intake. A CAI replaces your stock air intake and allows the engine to breath better, thus improving engine performance . Some key CAI used by Max owners are Stillen, Berk and Injen, their are others out their, those are just 3 that come to mind.
