Hey guys,

Well I got the Y pipe from CustomEnterprise in (thanks CustomMaxima)....I went to my mechanic to see about putting it on, and asked me if it came with the (brackets...something like) and I told him no and said that he could probably use the existing ones on the Max if they are not too warped. Have any of you guys who has the Y pipe on the 04 Max used the current hardware on the car or did you purchase the items mentioned? Hopefully, I'll have this installed this Saturday. I'm in NJ.....

 

I used the hardware from teh car. Easy install - 30 min

My Y-pipe bolted right up using the existing hardware, heck your car is still fairly new, existing hardware should be in great shape...

 

That's the exact same thing my installer said......so I guess I'm all set. Thanks for the reassurance guys.....

 

does anyone know where i can get preformance headers for my 04 nissan maxima?they say that the 03 will fit on it but i just want to make sure if anyones knows help me out thanks

 

I had posted that I saw someone on Ebay selling headers for 04 Maxima but it was moved.....

What is the horsepower gain on an 04 Max with the Y pipe?

 

I haven't dyno mines or anything, but I hear the gains are around 15-20 HP. I know one thing......along with the Injen CAI there is a big difference in the pickup! The car truly flies...

I been trying to get headers for my ride and it seems no one has them. I am still trying to get my y-pipe from CE. Later Warren

 

One of the guys at CE (Nick) told me that it's a hot item and sell out FAST and not many are mass produced I believe.

 

I was told a couple of weeks ago that they were getting hundreds of them in. I don't think they sold that many when I called on the following Mon. Warren
