Hey speaking of sway bars. I have an 04 6 spd. Maxima. It seems to jerk side to side under heavy accelaration. It especially jerks when I am cornering at speed and go to accelerate, The car seeps to lunge in to the turn almost feeling like its gonna skidd out because it tightens the turn. I was wondering if anyone knows why it does this.

corners = understeer. It's a 3500 lb FWD sedan, you are taking them too fast. the RSB should help w/ that, but if you still go too fast, you may experience oversteer (rear end sliding out).

RSB production update
Progress has informed me that these are scheduled to arrive at our warehouse around 18 May, which is a little more than the 2-3 week estimate.
Its possible that they'll arrive sooner, but that's what they could commit to.

The suspension itself is basically identical, but for some reason Nissan used different diameter bars on the 04 and 05.

2. It fits both the 04 and 05.

shipping is extra. is was $18 to ship it from CA to PA for me.
I very excited about this. I'm sure the 05 owners are as much so. 1 large reason is that w/ Stillen you must use your oem rubber bushings. they may sell you the G35 Urethane ones if they become available again.

I think its like any other sway bar. You dont want to pre-load it. I understand its not adjustable. I can tell you that you wont be disappointed in the perfromance. i have the prototype on my car, and its 2 mm smaller in urethane bushings and it handles GREAT!

Just to pin this down a little better, Progress always provides instructions and they do a reasonably good job of putting them together. The bars come to us pre-packaged, so those will already be included in the box. Any additional input we get during the first month or so is then incorporated into a revised version.
As someone noted, these are not adjustable, but of course you'd want to know the torque settings for the frame brackets and end links. FWIW, these #s should already be in the FSM because in all cases you'll be using existing hardware and the torque settings will remain the same.

Is this something you can install in your driveway, or do you need to raise the hind end to do the swap, such as putting it on ramps?

There's no need for any special tools. Though I consider a torque wrench to be "basic equipment", you could probably get by without one if you're just sensible about not tightening them too much, but I've asked Progress to look up and include the Nissan torque specs from the FSM.
You can certainly do this on a relatively level driveway or garage. The rear of the car needs to be put on jackstands, and those go under the chassis not the axle - when installing this type of RSB, the back suspension should be at full droop. You have to remove one tire to snake the stock one out and the new one in.
Be safe, don't use stuff like concrete blocks (they shatter EASILY) or any kind of hydraulic jack to hold the car up while working unless you want to die early, you're going to have to get under the car to unbolt the frame brackets/bushings. Only use a sturdy pair of jackstands, or just run it up a lift (but it has to be the kind that lifts the car by the chassis, not the tires).
Progress actually has completed the instructions and is sending a copy to me via email so I can pass that along to anyone who's interested - just shoot me an email and I'll send back with the instructions attached.

If I understand this correctly,
The aftermarket RSB's increase the handling of the car by being "stiffer". Does this mean that the stock RSB bends? If so, why would you want a RSB that bends?? Wouldnt it eventually fail?
