Just Upgraded to a 6th Gen!!

Well kinda...I have to sell my 350Z at the end of the summer but in the mean time I'll be driving both. I got a Liquid Silver SE w/ black interior. My only plans are tint, lower, wheels nothing crazy. Anyhow I just wanted to share the good news!!

welcome to the 6th gen side. nice plans, will look hot.

I think you should paint the lower valience to match the color of the car, that will look even better IMO

Thanks guys it feels good to be part of the family! I'm sure I'll go over board with this car too but not till I sell the Z. I don't have plans to sell till later in Aug some time. At that point I'd be glad to work a deal on the wheels. BTW the 5th gen staggered set has been sold for nearly a year now. I must say the only thing that I'm a bit pissed about was the choice not to get factory HID. I didn't want all the other stuff but now looking back I should have got the HIDs. I figured it would be an easy install...well from what I've read here its not that simple. Anyhow...thanks for the welcome guys!!

^^ Sure I have the stock exhaust from the Y-pipe back. What do you want to pay. I'm fairly flexable.

^^ I read through most of the sticky's, namely the one about the HIDs. My issue is why are we putting aftermarket 9006 HID's in non HID projectors. I mean thats not even the right size bulb? Not to mention you lose the high beams. Unless I'm miss understanding what he did. The info is great, its just not enough for me to go out and buy a kit and do it. ANYHOW this site is priceless and I'm sure I'll learn a ton. First stop is the tint shop...she is getting 15% all around this weekend!

Oh and the 22's...well I might have to pass. I just dont want to rub at all plus tires are costly!

Hamy, there is another route to go with. Buy d2s projectors (the max uses hella E55 projectors) ballasts and bulbs of course.

open the lid where the halogen bulb sits. remove the 4 screws and then yank that sucker out. put your d2s projector in and screw in. splice wires from your existing setup to the new HID setup, along with attaching the ballast. sounds difficult, but really not.

or you can go to car-part.com and search used headlights from junk yards, sometimes you'll find some good buys, then its a plug and play option. (thats the route I took)

or ebay or wherever else they sell used car parts.
