9012 headlight ?

This may be a rehash of an old post, not sure, can't find any info on the search. Has anyone found an aftermarket source for the 9012 bulbs for my 04. Are there any upgraded style? And is there ANY way to have the fog lamps last?????

there is no brighter aftermarket bulb for the Maxima halogen bulb. if you bulbs keep going out, i sure hope you kept going back to the dealer for free replacements. that will also provide a record of how many times they went out showing a bigger problem. you may have a short somewhere, or faulty wiring.

can't see a thing...

I really think the light output of 6th gen Maxima sux. It's dim and dark. I can't see a thing.

Even though it's pretty nice that it lits up almost a mile ahead with the factory high-aligned projector light, but it lacks brightness; i can't see what's 10 feet ahead. Foglight fills in where headlights miss, but why turn on foglight when there's no fog...

I'm gonna get HID and aim it a little lower.

Any suggestion on where I can buy Philips bulbs and balasts?

theres a group buy going on through Maximabest i believe, great prices and great seller. Supposedly he was gonna update me on the 9012 bulbs, aka H13. He told me that helios was releasing the product. Hit him up and let me know.

Whatever you do, I would not reccomend PIAA bulbs, especially for the headlights...had them in my fogs and they lasted 1 mo. I have Nokya in my fogs now and like them alot, hyper yellow. I dont see many maxima's without HID though.

i suppose if would rule out PIAA if I were you, but a lot of people have had the fogs go out with any brand. I got a used PIAA fog set from a friend 5 years ago and they still run strong on the old car. they even got knocked loose driving through flash floods and PIAA sent me a new housing/wiring harness no questions asked.

PIAA dont make HID bulbs. You're talking about halogen bulbs made by PIAA. I've done that 5 years ago. Blue halogen bulbs = waste.

who said anything about PIAA HID :condused: I was quite sure PIAA made headlight bulbs, and no one mentioned coverting to HID... but yeah, blue bulbs are definately form over function. but my blue piaas light way better than stock for their purpose.

Well.. I have PIAA H4 bulbs lying in the garage for years...

I've had about 3 pairs of blue colored halogen bulbs. All of them claim higher wattage and higher output w/ brighter color. That's all marketing bull**** except it really had higher wattage and it almost melted one side of headlight housing partially.

With the first pair, one side got burnt out so i had to trash them. 2nd pair, i didn't like the color (it was PIAA. The bulb color was purple it gave out too much yellow. It was hard to tell if it's regular bulb or not)

The last pair got me pulled over, so I had to go back to factory bulb... after switching back to factory halogen bulb, it was so much brighter, there was no going back.

All it provides is DARKNESS with a hint of blue/green/purple (or whatever) color it is tinted with.

Maybe u have a good night vision. i have a bad night vision and if it's dark, i really can't see anything. Getting a pair of aftermarket halogen foglight is much much better.
