Tire rotaion has nothing to do with it. What grade of fuel do you typically use? And SES lights or anything?

As pointed out in the previous post, this does not cause the problems you describe. However, you should be good about rotating the tires on you new Max. For the best (and safest) handling, the wear on the front tires should be as close as possible to the wear on your back tires. Nissan recommends rotating the tires every 7,500 miles -- you should do this to keep the tread on all tires close to the same. I rotate front to back and back to front on the same side.

I made the mistake of not rotating the tires on my previous car and ended up being upside down in the middle of I 76 after hitting a patch of water standing on the highway. The car hydroplaned and because of the poor tread on the rear tires, the rear end broke loose and came around. We were going down the highway sideways -- all because of not doing proper tire rotation. Don't make the same mistake. Keep the tread the same front to back and buy new tires before the tread gets to the wear bars in the tread.

this is what was reccomended in the last thread by the same person.

I sure hope you're using 93 octane gas and changing with 5-W30 oil every 3750. If so, and you still think something's wrong, ask the dealer to take your money for the 15k mile service. Tell them your worries and hand over your wallet.

Check the tranny oil too, see if there's any, or coolant from radiator leaked in. It happened to my German engineered vehicle at 2 years and 34k miles. It drove like it lost half of it's cylinders.

Been there, done that on I-40 in a buddy's vette (he was driving). The experience of it all alone is enough to make you rotate tires, check pressures, etc etc

Amazing....I thought I was the only one. My wife thinks I'm crazy when I tell her that the car runs better when it's clean. That's pretty cool.....

Waxing the car always makes it faster and quieter since there is less drag... aren't we all fools. I do the same thing.. after I've waxed it - I'm always wondering, is it quieter in here, or is it just me?

Hey Your Car is feeling slow because it is hotter outside, less cool air is getting into the engine,Hot air kills horsepower. I hope this helps.

I travel almost every week and drive rental cars. The power is always "renewed" when i come back for the weekend.
The hot weather and having the a/c on does make the car slower, but still faster than the malibus/taurus/stratus that I get from the airports.

You got that right. While my Max was in the shop for repairs (9 days) I drove a Hundai -- what a piece of crap. I stepped on the gas to merge into a divided highway. The transmission down-shifted, the engine made more noise, but there was no push. I had to hit the brakes to keep from hitting a yahoo who would not move over to let me on the highway. In My Max, I would have been yards ahead of that dolt.
