Did I blow my tranny?

It so happens that my maxy has been doing some weird noises lately while i use the Triptronic... today i was driving normally and then outta nowhere when i hit the gas it wouldn't go... the engine was still on and still moved forward... i put it in park to check it out and didnt find anything in the engine so i get in and when i put it on drive it jumped and moved forward with the V-6 pull... i hit the gas and nothing!!!... i tried backing up and same happend there... Wat are the possible problems?... My friend said it might be the battery, altenator, or tranny... my battery and brake light went on after that... the car starts normally but won't go... I had to call AAA and they took 3 1/2 hour to get to where i was, thank god i have airbags or else i would have said bye to my bodykit, even with a flatbed it's a b**** to tow ...

Electronic drive-by-wire throtle, I think is the problem.

Probably you voltage regulator or alternator is faulty. When that happens, the computer does not let you rev past idle, or 1000 rpm to prevent damaging the computer due to the voltage spike.

What RHMax said, so I'm interested now. Are you able to rev the RPM's up at all? If so rule out the drive by wire theory.

same exact problem happened to my sister's 04 Murano last night.
she said she'll take it to the dealer today, i'm also thinking electronic
drive-by-wire throttle gone bad.

did you find out what went wrong, maxima617?

My sister said the dealer replaced the alternator, and guess what...

she just called me and told me that it broke down again today.
she paid over $32k for it and it has only 18k miles.
it broke down two days in a row...she's pissed as hell now.

I don't think it's the same issue, it might be...
yesterday, she said the battery and brake light came on when it was
about to break down.

today, she said the engine temperature went up pretty high, and
green fluid was leaking under the engine. so i'm thinking the dealer
did something wrong when they were replacing the alternator?
i dunno...

yeah...i told her that i think it's the anti freeze...
would dealer mess with it when replacing an alternator??
why would anti freeze leak all of the sudden? it only has 18k miles.
