04 preferred 5speed tranny that shows where exhast comes in right under the engine/tranny...

I looked through the stickys and didn't see any exhast installs that might have shown this..

Thanks!

There are some pics here that may help. I'm not sure if it's a 5-speed or not though.

Wow, that was exactly what I was looking for but it's a different tranny...Do you know of any other links that may have a 5speed auto tranny?

Thanks!

^^ actually my car's on a lift, I'm getting hard shifting moving from reverse to drive, I think it's a transmission mount, I'm trying to find another 5speed and compare to make sure I'm not missing anything..

Could it be the tranny itself? Or motor mount? Is it hard out of reverse or in to drive?

Here's a link to Custom Enterprise with a pic of my car with the y-pipe:

You can double click to make the picture larger.

PERFECT...unfortunatly it looks like my tranny might have some issues...there is not a mount where I thought..

I'm getting two OBDII codes:
"P0335 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit"
"P0755 Shift Solenoid B Malfunction "

I'm not sure if they are related, there was some wiring that was cut coming from the tranny to the engine cradle...I'm hoping that's all it is causing the hard shifting and not an internal problem...

Ohh and it jerks hard going from park to Reverse, then again from Reverse to Drive, also if I move tranny over to "tiptronic section" it seems to stay in 5th gear and never shift...geez...I hope it's those cables..

The crankshaft position, from what I know, usually only effect the starter. New shift solenoid might solve the tranny problem. Have your fingers crossed.

Was your car the hitter or the hittee?

Sheez...I was affraid of that...I'll have to price change the shift solenoid vs. find another 5speed transmission...

Update: In looking at some of the tranny cabling diagrams we think it might be related to the "terminal cord assembly sub-harness"...we had to splice some wires that was cut so we are re-tracing the entire harness to see if there are any other cuts in the cable, at least I hope so...

Also does anyone know where the "TCM" is located at? I believe it's the transmission control module...
