Well, that chop has a different hood on it, so I don't know if the kit will look good after I see it in a car. I like where you're headed, but, can't say I'll go for it until I actually see it....

That does look nice. So it's turning the cornering lights into fogs though right? How easy would the rewiring be to do that?

you'll have to take the headlights out to see the color of the foglight wires, so you can then tap the cornering lights into them.

it shouldnt be that hard to figure out. if I get time, I'll do it.

but do you really want the lower "foglights" dependent on the oem fogs? i think most would want to be able to light the lower ones independent of everything else. I've been thinking about how to rewire them, but it seems that wiring them to a switch and off the battery would be best/easiest.

I know I don't want to remove my headlights and splice wires. before this kit, I planned on making the oem fogs dependent on the park lights instead of the headlights. since my parks only blink, when i turn them on, only the fogs would show. then they would still show with the headlights on. I could still disable them with the stock fog switch, everything clean and appearing stock.

but having the lower fogs indepenent of everything, leaving the oem ones for Fog, we have the lower ones for running lights on whenever. Doing that, I would like to fit some H3's in there for better output than the cornering bulbs.

Where's the thread in the GD forum, I couldn't find it???

couldnt you just rewire the cornering lights to come on automatically when you start the car, instead of wiring to some switch? that seems like it'd be easier, just make them into daytime running lamps

but being the control freak that i am, i need the ability to turn them off. Also, running all the time means more bulb changes and I just may want them off when running HIDs and fogs. but yes, that would be easiest and a possibility for many.

alright guys, I spoke with RedMax at the meet. There will be some time until kits are available as with anything else. He is recooperating from the huge meet and I'm sure is setting up the GD. First off, only the Front bumper will be available once produced. The high costs to make this requires doing one piece at a time. the side skits should be finished shortly after the front starts selling. The rear is still in the design phase.
We'll be looking at $450 for the Front Bumper. The more that sell, the faster the rest of the kit become available.

obviously having those lines is another reason for RedMax to sell a carbon fiber hood. Something had to change, and working with the kit makes it more worth it. But you have the oem hood with your stillen kit and mesh grille.
Looks fine to me.
I thought the same thing looking at it yesterday at the meet. But It's no big deal. Looks good with narraow lines, better with wide if you like CF.
Maybe the CF could come with eyelids as one piece???

Another, probably stupid, question. Is this bumper going to follow the lines of the rest of the car? Since y'all are discussing a full ground effects kit it makes me think it will be lower. I really like this bumper, but I doubt I would get the rest of the kit, so I'm just wondering if it will look weird to get only this piece.

My question is this: In the photoshop of the radient ember model, it has a black mesh attached to it. will the bumper come with that mesh or will it just look like the picture of the mold (which has nothing)

Do you think it could add the corner blinker like the ken style body kit for the G35? I would like to have the best of both worlds, traditional placement of fogs and the side blinkers.

Im possibly just going to do the front first if I get it. Im worried that it will look to low and look weird but from the pics it doesnt look much lower than the oem bumper.

Just placed my order, 2 weeks can't wait!!!
Cory said they posted a thread a while back for a fit car, he asked why I didn't jump on it then. Does anybody remember seeing this? I must have missed it, the bumper is being made in Corona, Ca (30 minutes from me, damn)
Here's the GD thread, only 10 available for the 1st run...

I might add some LED's underneath the front bumper in place of the cornering lights, so when you signal you still get light but from underneath the car instead...
These would probably work fine:

I talked to them about being the test car for the bumper - but they needed the car for 15 days and it was in Corona which was too far from San Diego. Oh well - the kit looks INSANE and I am probably going to purchase.

Hi Guys,

Really glad you like the kit, and I hope the rest will suit your liking when it comes out. To answer some questions

04FrostSL
The main goal of the bumper as well as the rest of the kit to come is to follow the factory lines of the car, while adding a little bit more flare.

PaL379
I requested when asked to have a black mesh attached to the large opening in the center to sort of keep the mechanics(pipes and all) from being seen like the rest of the "open end" bumpers.

Yes, nice work GTR, can't wait to install, so will the blk mesh be coming with the bumper officially? If so I should start looking into a grill to match, what size mesh are they using do you know? (hopefully similar to the street scene grill)

And Pal thanks, lesson learned. Must browse outside the 6th gen forum...

I do like the mesh. I also like my body kit from Stillen but I like the front piece of this one too. When the rest of the kit comes out, Ill decide if I want to sell my body kit with black mesh grills in exchange for teh Redline units. Ill wait and see.

I think in addition to the black mesh, which probably wont look good with anyone that has a Trenz grille... someone needs to come up with a Trenz-like insert, like the lower grille that's out now, to match and fit in that space.
