Need 6th Gen For ActiveTuning Grille Fitment Testing In WI

We are looking for a 6th gen Maxima that is willing to come to us in Lake Mills, WI so we can test fit our new fiberglass grille.

Whoever can help us out will recieve the grille free of charge!

PM me if you can help out! We're looking for something ASAP as we should have parts towards the end of this week.

I'm not too far from there actually, considering I'm from Chicago, it's only about a 2 hour drive. Do you have any pictures of the grill?

I'd say do it kicks26, I'd be there if I was that close!!! Even if you don't like it, you can help out fellow Max owners by helping them get it out in the market...

There are no public pictures of the grille, and we cannot release them. As stated, if you like it during the testing, you can get a discount...otherwise if not, you can always opt for the credit towards anything else we sell or can get (we have some wholesale accounts, so we can get great pricing on many other parts...even though that's not our business).

PLEASE make something OEM looking!! We already have plenty of mesh/billet options. What the market needs is something classy and factory looking. Take jsmithsole's photoshop and go to town. I'd loan you my car in a heartbeat if the end product would look like this:

I think it will be similar to their altima grill if anyone has seen that.

It will be different than anything that's out there...It will not be like the photoshop you have, but something sportier.

We're very excited to release it and get some thoughts on it! But the grille design is already completed...

It is similar in some ways to our Altima grille....but different

Which gap do you mean? Pics?

If you look on this map, it's around where you see "Merton"...or just keep zooming in:

It's about 2 hours from the twin cities.

Still looking for somebody!

Dave I am glad to see you guys are finally moving on this. I don't want to call you out on this but I have to. In this thread from .net http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=191387 it was mentioned that the test fitter would get a FREE grille, not a discounted grille. Given it did not come from you exactly can you please clarify what you guys are doing? Doesn't matter to me since I am so far away but it may matter to the test car. I know I'll be selling my billet as soon as it comes out though.

The person who posted about the free grille was Altimat (my business partner Mike, not me). It was what was originally planned, but we changed our mind and decided against it. One of the main reasons being the fact that the style will be different than the S2/S5 grille...so for those looking for that style, they could potentially not like the new one (although we think and hope you guys will!). The other factors are all business decisions. Sorry for that mixup.

if you take notice, where the "tooth" once was, there is a cut out that shows a gap with many custom grilles. it is most noticeable with mesh ones. it's best seen looking down on it instead of straight on.

Ok, Mike and I talked it over, and the tester will recieve the grille free of charge. We're still looking for somebody. The gap is accomodated for and should not be a concern

The tester needs to come to us in WI. There will be some trimming and fitment perfections that will definitely be made, and the car needs to be with us to do that.

Really looking forward to this grille. If it compliments the looks on my babygirl more than the billet - I will be first in line to purchase...

I am not going to hijack his thread, however I will say that I am not really interested in making a fiberglass grill as of yet . the one I am in the process of making is all metal

What would it take to get a grille made like HAMY posted from the photoshop? I agree way too many billit styles.

Modify a G35 grille to fit lol

We'll see what you guys think about the one we're doing. It's not billet, so it will add something new to the mix.

All metal cool, are you going to have black one or you have to paint them black?

Talk is cheap, I wish a company will just make a prepainted line of framed mesh grilles that look good and match the car...we dont need another metal one because everyone already has it.

I thought the guy showed up this past Saturday at my partners for test fitting, but I got mixed up with the Titan grille we're working on. Looks like that was re-scheduled for this Sunday....So we'll see how things go this weekend.

If your volunteer doesn't work out let me know. I'm only half an hour from Lake Mills and would be willing to give the new grill a try. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing pictures of what I missed out on!

Unfortunately we've already promised somebody, but if it doesn't work out this weekend, we'll see.
