Bad Maxima image on TV!!!

I was just watching Rescue Me and in the previews for the season finale, they showed a car race by reving high and implied the car hit Tommy's kid. The car was a 6th Gen Maxima!! Are we getting a reputation?

Yeah, first it was a drug dealer. Now a hit and run? We need to bring suit, this is ruining our reps

Did they give a close-up to the tooth all full of blood, with eyelids showing how mean it is and red headlights??

There are those who insist that any publicity is better than no publicity.

I would tend to take the positive approach that the 6th gen Maxima was chosen for the TV spot because it looks powerful, big, fast and sporty.

I guess I can deal with that.

Do you really think that it will affect Maxima sales either way?

^^^ Yeah, I def think it could help sales!

I wanted to buy this car the second after I saw that first commercial when the guy crushes his orange while touching the car! I was like "holy $hit, I want that!" (the car, not the crushed orange).

TV, Movies, media def have an effect on me when I see something I really want. Even now when I see images of the 6th gen in commercials or movies I get the sensation that if I didn't have this car, I would def want to get one.

Anyone else feel the same?

Only we notice it because we own one. I saw it too and was gonna make a topic but you beat me to it. No one else says holy **** a guy with a 6th Gen Maxima hit the kid I am never gonna buy one of those because I don't want to be in the crowd with bad people lolol. People buy cars because mostly they like how it looks. This will have no affect. If it does Nissan wouldn't let them put it in.

I agree! I guess it's about time our cars get some publicity (good or not-so-good)

Actually he was hit by an early model accord and landed in front of the parked 6th gen Max.
