Chernmax down south.
Some of you might not know this but chernmax is a Disaster Services Action Team member for the Red Cross. He is down south for 3 weeks. He called me they gave him a black 6th gen. Maxima for his team to get around in. He will post pictures when he gets back.

It was a horrific scene and TV doesn't even compare to actually being in those areas to see the destruction.

I was in the New Orleans area to salvage things from my sister's house, and I was on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (Pass Christian) to confirm that my dad's condo had indeed been completely destroyed down to the slab.

Just want to say thanks to all the Red Cross volunteers. I know they work hard and take time out of their busy life to help out complete strangers. My father-in-law was in Miami till Saturday then drove to Alabama then to Mississippi. He has been called home since we have a storm sitting of the coast right now. Thank for helping everyone out Chernmax.

I'll second what Rob Max stated. I would like to thank Chernmax and the other volunteers for stepping up and helping people in need! I pray for them and hope that everything turns out well in the end. People don't really grasp the enormity of such devastation and what it does to human lives. Many of these people have nothing anymore. I've already given some money and plan to give more. I suggest others do the same and realize how fortunate and lucky WE really are. PEACE OUT.......
my mom's entire side of the family is from out side of New Orleans, so since the Sunday before the storm there has been 13 people (2 kids - 1 toddler), 7 dogs, and 1 cat at my parents house --- a total of 3 families (crazzzzzzzzy cluddered). Each home is still standing, all had water damage but they are def. a lot better off than some.
