Really? I thought the TITAN is a great truck? And I was even looking at getting one, until the gas prices sky-rocketed...So what's wrong with it?

Its had a lot wrong with it- the advertised Rockford Fosgate Stereo system is nothing more than an Audiovox, I have had to have the front brakes replaced 6 times so far, and have been driving it for 3 months with the front end shaking like a retard on crack every time I hit the brakes because Nissan doesn't have the part to fix that once and for all and they refuse to replace the brakes again till they get said piece. The front seat is coming apart, and I have had to replace the center console because the fabric rolled out........

My OEM rotors were horrible so thats something to think about. Not saying if you get an 06 it will have the problem but my 04 did.

Im super easy on my brakes, (never wanna have to pony up to pay for calipers/rotors etc if the pads wear out) consequently, my pads show little wear at 40k! There is NO shimmy due to braking whatsoever, I think being really gentle on the car helps too. When I have occasionaly stomped on the pedal I was like WHOA this car has awesome brakes, I never knew!

You should of had them give you a loaner car. What would have happened if you crashed because that part was no good. Call Nissan at the 800 number. Don't they have a lemon law in your state?

Good luck on the 6th gen.

Well, I ended up finding one today. Got a 2005 leftover/demo, 6 speed, leather, driver preferred package, sensory package and the premium audio package. This thing is a rocket, and I am glad to be back in the Maxima family again!

congrats!!

sorry to hear that you had bad experience with the Titan. I talked my dad down to get an Armada. maybe I should do some research on them before getting one.

supposedly the have fixed the brake issue with later trucks, but both the Armada and Titan suffered from it. The rotors were just too small for such a big truck.

Anyways, here is a pic of the new toy......

Yeah, don't bash all Titans. You have the '04 which had all of the problems that are fixed with the '05s and '06s. I have an '05 Titan and absolutely love that thing. Read the reviews. One of the best full-size pickups out there for the money.

Oh trust me, other than those issues I did love that truck. It was awesome, I used to call it the Hemi Eater, it was definitely a great intro to the full sized truck world.

I've personally had 7 Nissans, so there is no way I am negative towards them!!
