Removed door panels?

Has anyone tried removing his own door panels? I don't like the hollow thunk the doors make when closing them, so I want to put some Dynamat or other sound deadener inside the door panels. Mine look so new and perfect, though, I don't want to risk breaking a clip or messing something up.

Any step-by step guides for removing the door panels?

There's a pdf floating around... I'll see if I still have it. I found it when I was looking for the mirror replacement instructions, but I think people that replaced their tweeters were also looking for the info... look in the How-To section and see if it's in there.

Make sure you follow everything carefully though... there are connectors for the door locks, etc. that you need to remove before you move the panel away.

Hey, that IS a helpful link, since I just got my new Max last week. Thanks!

I'll post the results of my experience in putting Dynamat (or the cheaper Peel & Seal) in the doors.
